Yukon Wild is a listing of Yukon adventure travel experts that offers travelers premier guided and independent wilderness trips in Yukon and surrounding areas in northern Canada. Through Yukon Wild travelers have access to a wide range of different outdoor activities, experienced guides, lodging, gear and amenities to help plan and follow through on the best adventure travel experience possible for you and your group!

History

Yukon Wild is a facet of the Wilderness Tourism Association of the Yukon (WTAY), which is a member-driven, non-profit organization.

In 1999, WTAY conducted a market research study with potential wilderness/adventure travellers to find out the need for Yukon wilderness adventure trip planning. Since then, Yukon Wild has grown to include over 20 tour operating companies and strives to continue marketing Yukon as a unique adventure travel destination for national and international travelers.

Our role

Beginning in November of 2010 OTC took over the marketing contract for Yukon Wild. Since then OTC has re-evaluated the direction of Yukon Wild's marketing and outlined initiatives such as new creative design, website redevelopment, and advertising buying plans for print and online. In addition, OTC team members have attended three consumer shows for Yukon Wild, helping to increase interest and contacts for the coming season.

Starting in April, OTC will launch a year-long marketing plan for Yukon Wild, including booking online and print advertisements, and consumer shows.
